The Know Your Muse course is a 12-week exploration that features:
- Bridging Spirituality and Art – The course uniquely connects non-dual philosophy and artistic practice, described as “spirituality that works for artists and art practice that works for spiritual seekers.”
- Applied Philosophy – It takes Abhinava Gupta’s theories of aesthetics and puts them into action through art-making, completing the cycle between aesthetic theory and creative practice.
- Spider Weave Technique – A unique approach to help artists “make friends with chaos” and unlock the creative process.
- Creating from Presence – Teaching artists to create from a place of presence rather than frustration, helping them tune into their creative flow.
- Slow Art Approach – Embracing a contemplative, mindful approach to art-making that contrasts with preconceived notions and limiting judgments.
This course weaves aesthetic philosophy with hands-on studio time to help you develop an intimate relationship with your creative source. Each week you’ll blend breathwork and perception practice with artistic techniques (like our signature Spider Weave) that translate awareness into line, gesture, and image. We explore the “space of emergence,” the creative pulsation (spanda), and the state of absorption where seer, seeing, and seen become one felt field.
Who is this course for: artists and spiritual practitioners, both beginners and seasoned alike.
Format: 12 weeks • weekly live studio session + guided practices that include theory, art appreciation, contemplations, drawing and painting demonstrations and weekly art practice.
